As many as you know, I’m a HUGE Sarah MacLean fan and was eagerly (more like desperately) waiting for The Rogue Not Taken to be released in late December. It’s always a big worry when an author takes so long to release her/his book…will it be awesome? will it be crap? will I love the characters? will I love the story? So many worries 😉 This gorgeous blue ball gown dress designed by Lunss
Anyway, I’m happy to report that I did indeed love it but will not be giving it my highest rating as “King”, the hero, did not grovel on his knees to our heroine, Sophie, who deserved to be grovelled at after the way he treated her! In fact, he should be on his knees apologising to her for the rest of his life!! Still, it was a fun read with many great lines (mostly from Sophie) and sexy moments.
I don’t want to say anything else about it but will, again, be eagerly awaiting her next book with the Duke of Warnick as her naughty Scot hero 🙂
Just a heads up regarding our trading hours this week…we’ll be open tomorrow (Tuesday 29/12), closed on Wednesday (30/12), open on Thursday ’til lunchtime (12pm) and then closed ’til Monday 4th. We hope everyone has a fantastic New Year’s day! Stay safe 🙂
We’ve just ordered Pamela Clare’s last (boohoohoo) I-Team book, Dead by Midnight! I’ve only heard good things about it but, get out your hankies, ’cause I’ve also heard it’s a tearjerker! I figured it would be anyway because we’ll be saying goodbye to these wonderful characters we’ve come to love throughout the years. Damn! No more Julian, Marc, Gabe, Zach, Reece or the girls (who I really should mention by name but those boys hold a special piece of my heart). It’s gonna be hard saying goodbye to them but I’m sure Pamela will be thrilling us with another series soon. Dead by Midnight should arrive within the next week or so 🙂
Thanks to Pamela Clare for writing such an awesome series.
This has nothing to do with the store but damn if we’re not proud of Cyrus Villanueva (who is in the Grand Final of X Factor)! He attended the same High School that my siblings and I went to (Kanahooka High School) and is a friend of one of my nephews. He’s come a long way and tomorrow (18/11) he’ll be in Wollongong with Chris Isaak. He’ll be performing some of his songs and also have a meet-and-greet, so make sure to go and support him–he’s a really nice kid 🙂
Well, it seems like most of you like the new website! I’ve had numerous readers emailing me with lovely compliments and a few have had some good constructive suggestions to make the website even better! One being the login feature–we hope to have this rectified asap but, for now, you can simply register at the checkout and you’ll be logged in.
I’m glad that you like it but I hope you’ll love it once we have all the bugs fixed!!
Yes, it’s taken a few weeks but we now at least have a website again! It’s still a work in progress, so make sure you keep an eye on things here because we have a heck of a lot of titles to reload and it’s going to take quite awhile to repopulate it!
I’ll be posting reviews again thanks to Netgalley 🙂
It’s been a busy time for us trying to get our new website up and going and I really appreciate your patience. I hope you like it and find it easier to browse through–I found it a bit confusing at first but it’s really grown on me. Let me know what you think 🙂
Please feel free to comment on my blogs. If you like something I’m blogging about, I want to know about it!
