Christmas and New Year Trading Hours

We will be closing from Friday 23rd of December and will re-open on Tuesday 3rd of January. Orders can still be submitted through our site but will be despatched upon our return.

So make sure to stock up so you won’t run out of books!!

Back to normal…

Trading hours are now back to normal but please take note that, during the silly season, we’ll be closed. I’ll be posting our trading hours in early December so keep an eye out for that.

Thank you…

Thanking everyone for your condolences and kindness during this very hard time. And patience! Oh boy, have you guys been patient with me!  I really thank you for that. Hopefully, I’ll be back to my normal, efficient self soon 🙂

Store temporarily closed…

Til further notice, our store will be closed due to a death in the family. Orders can still be placed online but our physical store will be closed for a little while. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Getting ready for the next Wanted men novel…

Have you read any of Nancy Haviland’s Wanted Men books? If you haven’t, and you enjoy bad boy mafiosos, then make sure you do–and before her next one comes out! Ultimate Vengeance is the long-awaited story of Alekzander Tarasov, who, of course, we’ve met before in the previous 3 books. He’s super cool and madly in love…

To a young Russian girl raised to respect and fear the Bratva, gaining the attention of the impressive Sovietnik from a ruling organization was a terrifying thing. Alekzander was a dangerous temptation Sacha Urusski had no hope of resisting. Predictably, her heart was decimated and she was left bleeding…with a precious reason to go on. But when Alekzander bullies his way back into her quiet life and offers a confession that absolves him of his sins, rather than celebrate, Sacha is forced to acknowledge an alarming truth; she has now become the villain in their story. Or so she thinks. When the most damaging secret of all is revealed, her final hope dies and she’s left with no other recourse. She must run.

Sixteen months ago, Alekzander Tarasov made the mistake of his life when he annihilated his relationship with his soulmate. At the time, protecting her was his only thought. Now, after attempting to live without her, his focus has changed. He wants her back where she belongs. And he’ll stop at nothing to drag his curvy angel away from her new life and so deep into his world of violence and uncertainty she’ll never find her way out again.

Through a deluge of secrets and lies, disillusionment and broken faith enters a world where loyalty and trust reign. Will Alek and Sacha’s battered love be strong enough to survive? Or will it be a sense of duty that inexorably binds them together in the end?

The passing of another great author…

I just heard thru Facebook that beloved historical author Jo Beverley has passed away. What a huge loss for the romance community and her family. She had been battling cancer for several years and, unfortunately, it came back to take her from us.

Condolences to her family and many friends–she’ll be missed and her written word will be too 🙁

RIP, Jo.

Dirty…is it dirty enough?

LOL! Of course it is! Kylie Scott has done it again with her new Dive Bar series starter, Dirty. We met Vaughan in the Stage Dive series and he’s still the yummy musician but now his life has changed and with the change comes a broken-hearted (or maybe I should say not-so-broken-hearted) runaway bride.

It’s sexy, funny and you just gotta read it if you loved her previous books–well-worth it 🙂

theroguenottaken-269x404As many as you know, I’m a HUGE Sarah MacLean fan and was eagerly (more like desperately) waiting for The Rogue Not Taken to be released in late December. It’s always a big worry when an author takes so long to release her/his book…will it be awesome? will it be crap? will I love the characters? will I love the story? So many worries 😉

Anyway, I’m happy to report that I did indeed love it but will not be giving it my highest rating as “King”, the hero, did not grovel on his knees to our heroine, Sophie, who deserved to be grovelled at after the way he treated her! In fact, he should be on his knees apologising to her for the rest of his life!! Still, it was a fun read with many great lines (mostly from Sophie) and sexy moments.

I don’t want to say anything else about it but will, again, be eagerly awaiting her next book with the Duke of Warnick as her naughty Scot hero 🙂
